Tiki Island Chapel supports and serves the following local and global ministry partners.
GALVESTON URBAN MINISTRIES
Galveston Urban Ministries is a faith-based organization that empowers the poor and marginalized of Galveston through community development and support services. They seek to engage relationships with people from all walks of life to share God’s love and blessings while offering opportunities for them to serve. They also offer programs that encourage growth spiritually, motionally, and physically. GUM provides resources and teaching to low-income families on how to overcome poverty. These resources include reading, computer skills, how to write a resume and interview for a job. Last year, Tiki Island Chapel hosted an afternoon tea party with all proceeds going directly to GUM to support these programs. The Chapel participated in collecting school supplies in August for their School Supply Store. We also provide financial support throughout the year.
